Promoting sustainable, climate-resilient farming and organic practices that protect soils and improve productivity.
Climate Change Adaptation
Raising awareness and supporting communities to adapt to erratic rainfall and other climate-related pressures.
Soil & Water Conservation
Training farmers in techniques that hold water, prevent erosion and keep farmland productive for generations.
Livelihoods & Empowerment
Supporting women, youth, older persons and vulnerable groups through income-generating and savings activities.

Building climate resilience through community tree restoration & agroforestry
With accelerating deforestation, declining soil fertility and increasingly unpredictable rainfall, WCEAD is helping hundreds of smallholder farming households in Nyakasenyi Parish restore tree cover, protect their soils and adapt to a changing climate.

An organisation built on trust, transparency and community
WCEAD is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian community-based organisation governed by a Constitution adopted on 2nd May 2020.
Non-profit
We are a non-profit, non-partisan and non-sectarian community-based organisation. Every resource is applied solely to achieving our objectives.
Community-led
Members, farmers and local institutions drive our work. We are simply here to mobilise, empower and support them.
Accountable
Transparent financial management, two-of-three authorised signatories on all payments, and independently examined accounts each year.
Safeguarding
A safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all members, beneficiaries and stakeholders — especially children and vulnerable persons.

Membership is open to any person who supports WCEAD's objectives, resides or works within our area of operation, and agrees to abide by our Constitution. We do not discriminate on the basis of sex, tribe, religion, disability or political affiliation.

Ordinary Members
Persons admitted after formation who meet membership requirements and enjoy full voting rights.
Honorary Members
Recognised for outstanding contribution. No voting rights unless also an Ordinary Member.
